Dugas Plantation/Dugas creoles

I am not trying to offend anyone however, I am trying to find out any information on any Dugas plantations. My great great great grandfather was Jean Baptiste Dugas b.1802 married to Adelaide Broussard. I believe he owned a plantation. His son Joseph Clesme Dugas had a child with an African slave named Theresa. Their son was my great grandfather Joseph Dugas Knat b.1866. His last name changed to Knat because he was adopted, however he went by Dugas on his marriage certificate. He married Marriah Boutte, a Chitimacha indian. They were all from New Iberia parish. Thanks Rahsaan. Hope I didn't offend anyone, I just want to know more about my family. Thanks
