I think most people have read my messages. I'm not here to cause bad feelings i would just like to know more about my Dugas family line.Although i am creole I am a decesdant of the dugas family. My great grandfather Joseph Dugas Knat born 1866 who married Marriah Boutte a chitimacha native american was loved by both his French Acadian father Joseph Clesme Dugas as well as his grandmother who was French, Adelaide Broussard. Not to mention his uncle who was a confederate soldier. This is evident due to his Dugas familily giving him 168 acres of land, which eventually got stolen from my family in the 1930's by the Schwing family after it had been found the land contained oil in New Iberia. i just would like to find some answers. Because the fact my grandmother passed some time ago and kept the secret of my family being Dugas members this is all new to me. I'm only 28 but have a load of time to find the answers I'm looking for.Like Ive stated before although I'm creole or African American or whatever you want to label it, i wouldn't be here today, as many of you would not be here if it wasn't for Abraham Dugas. His blood flows through my veins as well as many of yours! Thanks for listening hope someone can help:)
