Hi Mary. I am the aunt of Dax, who posted the origional message. We have traced back to my great great grandfather Henry Dugaw b. 1823. Place of birth is listed most often as Belshir, VT. but we can't find that. We know he was in the area around Ticonderoga, NY. mid 1800's. And thats where the trail ends so far. I have elderly aunts who remember there were cousins who spelled the last name Deugaw. But thats all they can tell me. So we are probably cousins, but I can't prove it. We have lots of bits and pieces but don't seem to be moving ahead, or should I say back? Any help you or your father could offer would be great.
Lela
