If the Zephraim you search was effectively (Charles-)Zephirin Dugas dit Labreche, this person was born the 31 octobre 1811 in St-Joseph-de-Maskinonge. He married Marguerite Rivard dit Bellefeuille and he have about 8 childrens, some in Quebec and some in Michigan. I think this part of Dugas dit Labreche family change her name in USA for Labrash. And if it's really this family, one Louis Labrash, probadly son of Charles-Zephirin, was private in compagny D, thirtheenth Illinois cavalry, in american civil war. My source is M.
