I found some additional information on Germain LaVerdure Doucet in World Family Tree CD, Vol. 2, #4512. If this information sounds right, I can email Family Tree Maker and find out who submitted this information. Perhaps that individual can help you.

Germain LaVerdure Doucet was born in 1595 in LaVerdure, France, d. 1654 (unknown), m. 1621 in France, Marie Bourgeois, b. Abt. 1599 in LaVerdure, France, d/o Jacques Bourgeois.

Notes: Germain LaVerdure Doucet came to Acadia in 1632 from the parish of Conflans-en-Brie, perhaps in Savoie or Sedan, France, with his wife and son Pierre. Germain was a captain of the Army under Governor Charles d'Aulnay in Acadia and mayor of Port Royal. He returned to France after the fall of Port Royal to British troops. Whether or not he remained in France is not known. Sieu de Verdure (IGI) Dictionnaire National des Canadiens Francois

Two children are listed with Germain LaVerdure Doucet and Marie Bourgeois:

1) Pierre LaVerdure Doucet, b. 1621 in France, d. 1721 (unknown), m. (#1) Abt. 1640 in Port Royal, Acadia, spouse unknown; m. 1660 in Port Royal, Acadia, Henriette Pelletret.

Notes: Pierre LaVerdure Doucet came to Acadia in 1632 with his father and mother. Pierre married in Acadia, his wife is unknown. After the fall of Port Royal in 1654, his father was forced to return to France, while Pierre fled to Quebec, where his first wife died. He and his son, Germain, spent several years there before returning to Acadia. Henriette Pelletret is his second wife. Pierre visited Quebec about the time of the fall of Port Royal but returned to Acadia with his children by Henriette.

2) Marguerite Louise Doucet b. 1634, Port Royal Acadia, m. 1645, Port Royal, Acadia, Abraham Dugas, b. 1616 Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, France, s/o Abraham & Margurite Caronne.
