Bonjour Maria Robichaud:
This is a followup to your message dated Mar 16, 2002 at 03:55:34 in Reply to "Dugas Family" by Shirley Dugas Griffin.

I sincerely hope you or "someone" can assist me.
I too am a descendent of Abraham Dugas (II ?) born 1616 La Chausse, Loudin, Vienne, France (although some of the other data I've collected reflects he was born in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne or Brittany, France and was the s/o Abraham Dugas and Margurite Caronne), died 1698 in Port Royal, Acadie, m. abt. 1645-47 in Port Royal to Marguerite Louise Doucet who was born either abt. 1625 in France, (which would have made her approx. 20 yrs. when she married), or 1634 in Port Royal (that would have made her 11 or 12 yrs. old at marriage) in Port Royal, d/o Germain La Verdure Doucet and Marie Bourgeois of La Verdure, France.
The children you had listed for Abraham Dugas and Marguerite Louise Doucet were:
Marie 1648
Claude 1652
Martin 1656
Abraham 1662
Madeleine 1664
Marie Jeanne 1665
Thank you! I didn't have that information.
Although your database is primarily for the Robichaud family, in your reply to Shirley Dugas Griffin you provided her with information on Claude Dugas, b. 1652 and his wife Marguerite Bourg's lineage as well as on Claude's son, Charles Dugas, b. 02-18-1708, Port Royal, NS and his family.
My question is:
Being that Claude Dugas, b. 1652 was the brother of my ancestor, Abraham Dugas,(III) b. 1662, Port Royal, NS, he supposedly married a woman named Madeleine Landry in abt. 1690 there.
Do you have any information on them and their descendants?? Madeleine apparently had siblings, two sisters, one named Marie Landry and the other, Marguerite Landry. Abraham (III)and Claude would have the same parents, Abraham Dugas (II) and Marguerite Louise Doucet. Any information you or anyone else can provide as to the lineage of Abraham Dugas (III) and Madeleine Landry is greatly apprecited.
Also, one of my later Dugas ancestors, Joseph Dugas, b.date unk., m. 1758 in Port Royal, Acadie to Marguerite Robichaud.
Do you have any information on her?
I have nothing on the Robichaud portion of the family.
THANK YOU!
