The church records in the "Southwest Louisiana Records" by Rev. Donald J. Hebert show Amand Dugas as the son of Claude Dugas and Anne Hebert. I descend from Magdeleine Robicheaux who was the sister of Genevieve.

DUGAS, Armand married Genevieve ROBICHAU. Died of long illness & received the sacraments; was buried 24 Oct. 1823 at age 68 yrs. in the parish cemetery. Marginal note: "Forgot this entry in its proper place." Fr. Michel Bernard BARRIERE (Laf. Ch.: v.1, p.17).
