Dugas Family History Research
My name is Claudette Moran, and I am writing from Little Falls, Minnesota. I need quite a bit of help with my Dugas Family Tree. My cousin, Lloyd Bellefuille, actually did the research in the 1970's, but stated that his resources were from the books of Tanguay, Drouin, and Bona Arsenault, along with Father Francois Lanoue, Father Christian Roy, and Father Raymond Bourgeois, which would be parish records. But, I was told thathalf of my information was incorrect. So, I will work my way backwards. Claudette Moran, born 02/21/1968 in Little Falls, Minnesota. She is the daughter of Larry Moran, and Joyce Erdman. Larry Moran was born on 10/20/1935 in Little Falls, Minnesota. He was the son of Napoleon (Paul) Moran and Monica Flansburg. Larry Moran died 10/31/2007 in Little Falls, Minnesota, and was buried in Holy Family Catholic Cemetary in Belle Prairie, Minnesota. Napoleon Isidore Moran was born 05/27/1913 in Little Falls, Minnesota, and was the son of David Moran and Alma Dugas. He died 05/11/190, and is buried at Holy Family Catholic Cemetary in Belle Prairie, Minnesota. Alma Dugas was born 12/04/1886 in Ripley Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Leon Dugas and Priscilla Boisjolie. She married David Moran on 04/19/1910 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, Minnesota. She died 04/13/1975 in Little Falls, Minnesota, and is buried at Holy Family Catholic Cemetary in Belle Prairie, Minnesota. Leon Dugas was born on 03/28/1860 in Little Falls, Minnesota, and was the son of Ludger Dugas and Emelie Griveau Boisjolie. He was baptized by Father Francis Pierz at Old Crow Wing, Minnesota. He married Priscilla Boisjolie, daughter of Eurgille Boisjolie and Marcelline Bonneau on 10/08/1883 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, Minnesota. He then married Marie Louise Boisjolie Venne in 1923 in Montreal, Canada. They were both killed in a car/train accident near Little Falls, Minnesota on 03/04/1928. Ludger Dugas was born 05/12/1826 at St. Jacques de l'Achigan, and was the son of Issac Dugas and Marie Thibodeau. He married Emelie Griveau Boisjolie on 10/19/1847 also at St. Jacques de l'Achigan. She was the daughter of Antoine Griveau Boisjolie and Julie Bouquet. He immigrated to Minnesota in 1858. He died 03/04/1906, and is buried at Holy family Catholic Cemetary in Belle Prairie, Minnesota. Issac was the son of Alexandre Dugas and Marie Josette Brossard. Alexandre was the son of Joseph Dugas and Marguerite Robichaud. I need the most help with this, because then it states that he was the son of Abraham Dugas and Marie Madeline Landry. Could someone please verify this information? Thanks.
