Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING MY TREE FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS NOW AND HAVE MANAGED TO TRACE A SOLID LINE BACK TO 1730 MAYBE EVEN TO 1700. MY LINE GOES BACK TO NEEDLE MAKERS AND FINISHERS IN A TOWN CALLED REDDITCH, WORCESTERSHIRE. I AM CONVINCED THAT THE ORIGINS OF OUR FAMILY ARE EITHER ENGLISH OR POSSIBLY WELSH , BUT DEFINATELY NOT IRISH.
