The lintage book of DAR has a William Duggins (1751-1827) He was born in Ireland; died in Virginia. He was a private in Captain Vanse's company, Col. James Wood's Virginia regiment. I too at one time thought he may be Ellick's son but if he was born in Ireland in 1751, Ellick was probably already in Virginia. He witnessed a deed about that time in Albemarle Co. (24 Feb 1752)
You will find William in Vol. 99 Pg. 215, Vol. 110 Pg. 310 & Vol.162 Pg. 109. If you think this is your William and have problems finding these DAR records, I will be glad to scan & send copies. Also there is a family tree of this William on WFT Vol 13 #930.
