I don't know whether this is of use but our surname is very unusual here in England. My grandfather's family on my father's side go back to the blacksmith's trade in Birmingham England but I've not traced as far back as 1750. Please feel free to E-mail me as I'd love to find out why there are so many Duggins's in the USA.
