Hello, Michael
I wanted to share with you a word of caution about Halbert's. In 1995, Halbert's agreed to the terms set forth in a "Cease and Desist" order issued by the U.S. Postal Service, charging the company with misrepresentation. Previous orders were issued in 1985 and 1988.
The name "Sharon Taylor" is a pseudonym, not an actual author.
If you would like more information about this matter, go to the National Genealogical Society's website (www.ngsgenealogy.org)- and read the two articles found under the Site Map's "Consumer Protection" link.
I happened to see this article and the name "Halbert's" rang a bell when I read your message.
My husband's family came from Leitrim, Ireland. His grandfather changed the spelling of his last name from DUIGNAN when he arrived in this country. I don't know why - people still mispronounce our name.

Good luck,
Mary Deignan
