There is a William Magara/McGurrah/McGurragh, in the SC Archives, in Craven County, and in Camden District, who appears to be the same person.
(I will abbreviate somewhat, here):
8/15/1775 -Wm. McGurrah: Mem. for 350 A. on Crooked Creek, Craven Co.
Names indexed: DUCK, ROBERT; MCGURRAH, WM.
6/55/1772- ROGERS, JOHN- Mem. for 300 A. on Crooked Creek, Craven Co.
Indexed: ROGERS, JOHN; MCGURRA(G)H, WM.
12/27 1784 - FENNEL, DEMPSEY: Plat for 640 A. on Crooked Creek, Camden District, surveyed by JAMES BREDIN - other names indexed: MAGARA, WM; NELSON, DAVID; ROGERS, JAMES
12/27/1784 - BOYKIN, FRANCIS - Same info as above.
Please note that in Camden District/Lancaster Co., SC, David Nelson, James Rogers, William Magara, Robert DUKE, and Francis Boykin were all neighbors.
Otis Fuller
