LOL the Dublin fire was from the Irish Revolution, Eamon DeVallera and Michael Collins were split over the splitting of the 8 northern counties. DeVallera's boys fought a pitched battle in Dublin's streets, burning the Post Office and several other Government Buildings. Now, not one person has shown me a direct connection to DeLaune. Someone tried to tell me that Daniel, the Elder's tomb has the DeLaune and Smith COA's entwined, but that particular COA was given to Daniel by the King for service to the Colony.
Oh, and by the way, I was born and raised in Houston (West University Place), left to join the Navy March 17, 1964 and never moved back, I still have two sisters and a brother there and I visit from time to time, graduated from Lamar Sr High, 1965.
