After some real searching I found a James Dulin born 7/5/1837 in Henry Co., GA. His parents were Sugar Dulin Jr. and Tabitha Howard. Sugar Dulin, Sr. fought in the Revolutionary War. Some of the family went from NC, GA then AL.

Here is a website with the Sugar Dulin, Sr. lines which are not easy to find.

My guess is there is a connection here somehow.
