On page 173 of "The Dulin Family in America" book is your Thomas Dulin, b. Dec. 27, 1838, Buckingham, OH; d. Sept 1907, on a train,; married Lydia Maria Scott Jan. 1860 in Le Claire, Iowa. Lydia b. Sept. 1839, d. Sept. 1904.

His father was James V. Dulin, b. Sept. 14, 1812, Loudoun Co., Va; d. Aug. 1882, Le Claire, Ia.; m. Mar. 17, 1838, Batavia, OH, Almira Joseph Danforth, b. Apr. 8, 1812, near Concord, NH; d. 1884, Le Claire, Ia.

His father was John Dulin, b. May 21, 1776, Loudoun Co., Va.; d. Cot. 22, 1828, Loudoun Co., Va.; M. Dec. 8, 1796, Loudoun Co., Va, Rebecca Elgin, b. July 22, 1775, Loudoun Co., Va. d. July 13, 1862, Loudoun Co., Va.

Your line goes back to William Duling born ca. 1690 the possible brother of Robert Dooling/Duling ca. 1680-86. You are NOT French but Celtic.
