Fascinated to hear of John Dumbleton chr, 11/8/1728 at toternhoe. This record is not in the IGI, however, a whole host of John's siblings are. I had been trying to connect the Leighton Buzzard Dumbletons in with the rest of the Bedfordshire Dumbletons for some time.Where did you find John's christening?

William and Mary (Durley) were married at Bierton in Buckinghamshire on 16/10/1727. Mary's forebears can be traced in that area back two more generations. I will email you more details. I am pretty sure that William is descended from the Oxforshire Dumbletons, Anthea Greenway is on the case.
