Hi Jeanine,
I would agree that all the Dumsers are related. I was surprised to learn how few we number. In 1880, there were only 32 Dumser Families in the entire U.S. My Dumser family arrived from Bavaria abt 1835 Manhattan, NY. They later moved to Brooklyn (Kings Co)NY so my research has been confined to both those areas. I tried every conceivable spelling of the name when I was using the LDS luck. Finally, a kind soul found them under name of "Dempsey". If I find anything I think would be useful to you, I will send it along.
Good Luck, Jeanine
Geri Hubbard
