I ran across the info you are seeking while looking for my dunford family anscestors. You will find a well researcched story on the Dunfords who migrated to Arkansas in the History of Yell County by the Yell County Historical Society. My dunford family were in Yell county during the civil war. They came from Edgecombe County, N. Carolina. My great, great grandfather died there in 1807. I think he came from Wythe County, Va.
