I have a William Dunford who arrived with his wife and 7 children in Canterbury, New Zealand in 1850. His death cerificate shows he was born about 1815 in Cheveril, Wiltshire. His father is listed as John Dunford and he married Elizabeth Smith in Mardon, Wiltshire in about 1836. Could William be a son of your John Dunford born 1770?
