My Mother-in-law was a Dunford from Ivanhoe in Wythe Co., and the name doesn't ring any bells to my wife, but this question leaves a dangling technical difficulty: How could she be full-blooded Native American with a maiden name like Julia Dunford? Was she adopted? Is there something in your question that is unclear to us?
