Hi Dave,
Have recently found that a William F. Dunford lived in cumberland County, Virginia in 1840 and 1830. He is listed in 1840 with one male 10-15, one male 20-30, one female 10-15, one female 15-20, and one female 40-50. He is 40-50 also. Could this possibly be our William F. Dunford? The age fits. In 1850 he is not in Cumberland County, but a family is still living there that fits the age group. Could it be that William left and came to Russell county leaving behind his family? There is also a William Dunford, Sr. living in Cumberland county. What do you think?
