Teresa, good to hear from you. You have found our William F. Dunford, I am certain. The dates fit. It indicates that he had a family in Cumberland Co. May be reason he and Rosannah Dickenson did not marry until 1855. He was either seeking a divorce or wanted until his wife died. Do yo think the William, Sr., may be his father. I hope we can tie them together which would give us a line to start with. It does bring lots of questions: Why did he go to Russell Co. which was in those days a ways from Cumberland. Maybe seeking work. Does Census indicate what he did for a living there? Since the census was before 1850 It did not list any children did it. Maybe the 1850 census there will list the family without him and we can pick up some names. Where did you find the census? I have looked and have not been successful. Thanks so much for keeping me in mind. Dave D. Notify Administrator about this message?
