Do you know anything about the John Dunford that was in Wythe County, Virginia? He was there in 1810. I am trying to tie my William F. Dunford who was born in Cumberland County, Virigina to other Dunfords in southwest Virginia. There wasn't many of them, so they are probably all related. William was born about 1797 and was listed in Cumberland County 1840. In 1850 and 1860 he was in Russell County, Virginia. There was a William, Sr. in Cumberland County that was probably his father, but I would like to know if they are related to the John from Wythe County. Anything you could tell me about the Dunfords would be greatly appreciated.
