William Dunford of Trinity Co., TX

According to a published version of the 1850 Trinity Co. tax list, there was a taxpayer, William Dunford, present in that county that year. Does this name ring a bell with anyone? This is the first year taxes were paid in this county, as it was previously part of Houston Co., and William was not listed on the 1850 Houston Co. census. I am beginning research on a history of this county and would like some brief information on him, if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
