Hello Becky:
I appreciate your response to my postings re the Dunford and Jones families.

It is interesting that we are both researching a George D. Jones, I hope you have more information on your George than I do on mine. Unfortunately there is no one left that has any information on him, we have no idea who his parents are or for that matter where he was born. All we know is that he brought his family to Texas from Alabama where his children were born. There seems to be thousands of George Jones' so I have hit the brick wall with him.

Re the Dunfords' I was wondering if Mary Emma Jones Dunford and Eddie Eugene Dunford had any children. I am hoping that they may have some descendants that would have some Dunford information. I do know that Eddie & Emma are both buried in Grandview Cemetary, Section E- Johnson County, TX. My grandfater James Lawrence Dunford was Eddie's brother and I did not know about Eddie until I started this research. I also found out that my great-grandfather James Thomas Dunford is buried in Watts Chapel Cemetary about 8 miles s/e of Cleburne in Johnson County, Tx., he was a Civil War Veteran and his tombstone has a Civil War emblem. Most likely Donney is buried there as well but there was no marker. I happened to be in Texas in early April visiting family and I went out to that cemetary and found his grave.

I will appreciate any information that you happen on.

The search goes on.
