Margie, I have some bad news for you. From what you have told me about your James Dunford I know for sure he is not my James Dunford. We have the civil war records from Washington D.C. stating that my James Dunford was killed in the war in 1862.I believe my middle initial is correct and the date of birth also correct. My Dunfords all enlisted in Arkansas according to a history book of Yell County, Ark.The book is written by Wayne Banks and is availabe from the Yell County Historical Society or perhaps your genmeology library near you may have a copy.
I hope we can continue to correspond. William W. Dunford
