Ann Rebecca Dungan

I recently saw Mike Johnstone's web pages at: which is "My Lines: Dungan Ancestry/Genealogy The Dungan Ancestry Of The Descendants of William Dungan & Frances Lathan" taken from Alfred Rudolph Justice book "Ancestry of Jeremy Clarke of Rhode Island And Dungan Genealogy"
& which is "The Dungan Family of Eastern Pennsylvania. Levi Dungan, The Westmoreland Pioneer. Third Paper by Howard O. Folker, of Philadelphia, Before the Bucks County Historical Society, at Hulmeville, May 25, 1909."
In both these publications, it is stated that Ann Rebecca Dungan b. abt 1770 d/o Levi Dungan & Mary Davis married Thomas Bavington.
I was wondering if any of you have seen a record linking Ann Rebecca to Thomas Bavington.
I believe that Ann Rebecca married Charles Bevington for a number of reasons. Charles Bevington was in Washington Co., PA the same time as Levi Dungan. Charles is on the 1800 census of Washington Co., PA and died in about 1808. Ann Rebecca is listed on the 1810 census of Washington Co., PA with just her children and then moved to Fayette Co., OH where she is listed on the 1820 census. In 1821 she and her children sold the land which she and her husband, Charles Bevington owned in Washington Co., PA from Fayette Co., OH. Charles & Ann Rebecca had a son named Levi Bevington (probably named after Levi Dungan). Charles & Ann Rebecca also had a daughter named Macy Bevington (probably named after Levi Dungan's daughter and sister) Macy seems to be a Dungan family name.
There were two other Bevington men living in Washington Co., PA at the same time as Charles. John Bevington or Bavington who the town of Bavington, PA was named after but he was married to Ruth McKinnon & Thomas Bevington or Bavington who enlisted from Westmoreland Co., PA in the Rev War and applied for pension from Beaver Co., PA but he was married to Elizabeth Johnston.
If anyone has seen a record linking Ann Rebecca to Thomas Bavington, please contact me at
Thank you, Dorothy Tuttle
