Nathan Dungan (b VA 1825+-10) married Anna Faris

I obtained a copy of Nancy Elizabeth Dungan McCoy's death certificate and it lists her parents as Nathan Dungan (born VA) and Anna Faryes (born VA).

Nancy Elizabeth Dungan was born in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Missouri on Feb 28, 1858. According to the death certificate, she lived in California from 1876 to the time of her death in 1933. I don't know if she traveled to CA with her parents, and I have been unable to locate them in the 1880 census.

I suspect that Nathan and Anna are descended from the Dungan and Faris Families of Smyth County and Washington County, Virginia, based on numerous inter-marriages between the families and the information below:

-Ann Farris married Thomas William Dungan (b VA 1817 and son of John Robert Dungan) about 1838 in Virginia and moved to Missouri about 1851. Ann died in Shelbina, Shelby County, MO prior to 1868.
-Elijah (b VA 1834) and a Sampson Dungan (b VA 1837) were living in Shelby County in 1880. I may be incorrect, but I am guessing that Elijah and Sampson are sons of George Dungan (b VA 1795 and son of John Robert Dungan) and Elizabeth Stalcup (An Issac, James and Sampson Stalcup were living in Shelby Co. MO in 1830/40/50's), based on land records.
-Hannah Chambers Dungan (b VA 1780) was living in Shelby County MO in 1850. Hannah was the wife of Elijah Dungan (b 1764 and died 1819 in VA). Several of Elijah and Hannah's children were living in northeastern MO, e.g., James, Ann, John R. and Sarah Sallie Dungan Kimbel.

I found the following Land Records:
DUNGAN, CATHARINE MO Dekalb CO. 8/1/1848 Plattsburg
DUNGAN, CATHARINE MO Dekalb 11/1/1848 Plattsburg
DUNGAN, ELIZABETH MO Sullivan 10/10/1856 Milan
DUNGAN, GEORGE W MO Macon 11/10/1841 Palmyra
DUNGAN, GEORGE W MO Macon 11/10/1841 Palmyra
DUNGAN, JOHN R MO Monroe 4/1/1839 Palmyra
DUNGAN, LUSINDAY MO Audrain 5/15/1852 Palmyra
DUNGAN, SAMPSON K MO Texas 2/5/1872 Ironton
DUNGAN, T C MO Holt 11/15/1872 Booneville

Palmyra was the land office associated with Shelby County. I do not know who Catherine is. I am not sure who Elizabeth is, but George Dungan's (born 1795) wife was Elizabeth. I do not know who the George W listed above is (possibly George (born 1795), but also possibly George Willis Dungan (born 1781 VA and died 1850 in Monroe County, near Macon and Shelby County, MO). The John R. Dungan (b 1799 VA and died in Monroe County Aug 1839) was the son of Hannah and Elijah. Lusinday was probably Lucinda (married to an Elijah Dungan (b 1815 Pulaski, KY and died 1851). Sampson was probably the person referenced above and listed in the 1880 census for Shelby County. Do not know who T. C. Dungan refers to.

I have not seen any information related to children of George Willis Dungan (and wife Jean Meek, b 1784) - possibly that they were Nathan's parents, but likely they would have been too old. But assuming they had one or more sons, then one of them could have been Nathan's father. Also, I have not seen information related to children of John R. Dungan and Catherine Ryburn. They were married in 1820, so they are of the "correct" age.

Would appreciate information related to any of the above.
