The will of George White was proved in Mercer Co. KY Court in March Court, 1824. He died 17 Feb 1824 in Casey Co. KY. George appears in the 1810 and 1820 Casey Co. KY census. The George W. White in 1830/1840 was of another line of Whites (James in 1820). They later removed to Overton Co. TN. There was a big move out of this area to MO and to TN shortly after 1820 census and bef. 1830. Many went to Howard Co. MO, then spread out. Some descendents returned to KY later in time
William Lobb's name is definitely LOBB and not COBB.
Jacqueline Ambler Lewis died in Mitchellsburg, Boyle Co. KY. His wife, Elizabeth Hutchinson Lewis is buried there. Go to Boyle Co. KY USGENWEB. I think she shows in Deaths or cemeteries. I think she was buried in Lewis Cemetery. Jacqueline died about 1886 or 1888. Without looking, I am not sure of the exact date. Some of these people I believe to have been married few times. Often, a woman went back to using her maiden name, and sometimes not. If her husband died or he left her (and she was young), the woman often went back to live with parents, taking their name back. George White m. Eunice Dungan in Washington Co. VA, 12 Feb 1795. I am 100% sure my George was m. to Eunice. I am now not sure if he was s/o Joseph White Jr. and Sarah Headley. I found much info by running names of neighbors in censuses. They sure connect to the Old Moses White line.
You might try with 1880 census for the last known place your Lobb and Lewis line were. Then go backward in time. This is how I found a lot of info. It takes time, but provides info to continue search.
I am convinced the name of Jacqueline Ambler Lewis comes from the Jacqulin/Jacquelin and Ambler marriage. Richard Ambler m. Elzabeth Jacqueline. I believe the history of them is at the Amherst Co. VA USGENWEB. This line goes with many Lewis,Markham, Douthit/Douthat/, Meriwether, and to line of Chief Justice of Supreme Court, John Marshall.
I just can't come up with the "missing link" in all this.
In Washington Co. VA, Aaron Lewis was there. Aaron m. Susan South. His father was Jeremiah Lewis of Anson Co. NC. This is where Joseph White Jr. died. Jeremiah went to Washington Co. VA and into NJ--and died back in Anson Co. NC. I suspect Aaron was married more than one time. There is also a Robert Lewis living close to George White in Casey Co. KY censuses. Some family trees at rootsweb may only reflect the marriage to one woman when, in fact, the man was married before and had children.
I wish I could find Widow Jane (will of George White). She somehow connects to the others in his will. So far, I have not seen the Horton name in re to my George White. I know there was a George White who married a Catherine Horton. He died in PA.
Sorry I could not be of more help.
