Do you know if Benjamin G. (Grafton) White is of this line with Elizabeth DeLaBar? One Benjamin G. Dungan m. Anna Raisford in Crawford Co. IL. If you do the marriage index for IL (Crawford Co. IL), just type in name of Dungan for Crawford Co. IL. Several Dungan surnames come up. The name of Raisford can also be found as Rausford. There is a Charles Dungan in censuses. I believe Benjamin G. Dungan (according to the IL Statewide Marriage Index database spelling), he was a son of Charles Gaskins Dungan, s/o John Robert. Benjamin shows in the 1880 Crawford Co. IL census. Ben was born abt. 1840 in Johnson Co. IN if I remember correctly.

My George White m. Eunice Dungan, d/o Elisha and Hannah Borden Rogers Dungan. George d. in Casey Co. KY on 17 Feb 1824. My 2nd gr-grandfather was George Washington White, b. May 1817 in Casey Co. KY. This info was from my mother's Bible page--which no longer exists. She also wrote that George White was the son of Joseph and Sarah of NC. It appears Eunice Dungan White likely died shortly after the child birth of son Eson/Eason White, b. Feb 1820 in Casey Co. KY. George had 15 children named in his will. All sons, except James White, were bound out to learn a trade or business. It is evident that many of the children were sent to live with others--and may have taken on a different surname. All were fairly young when their father died. Children were Andrew, John, Nathan, George Washington (knew about), Patsey, William (found), ESON (found), Ely, James, Catherine, Nancy, Isabel, Polly, Sally, and Esther. George Washington White first appears in Crawford Co. IL in 1851 when he married Sarah Meloni Turner. He was first m. to Lucy Jane Baker, 23 March 1846 in Owen Co. IN. I have long believed George White to be the son of Joseph White of Anson Co. NC. Joseph White Jr. first m. Sarah Hutchinson/Hutchison/Hutchings in 1757 or 1759, according to the Coons Family Bible. I found a line of Carolus White and Margareta Van Cullen White also in Crawford Co. IL in the 1870 Montgomery Twp. Crawford Co. IL census. This line connects to Joseph White and Elizabeth Self. One Charles Headley was also present in Crawford Co. IL.
Joseph White Jr. of Anson Co. NC m. Sarah Headley/Hadley in 1765 in Bucks Co. PA. Several of the Borden/Dungan lines were in Bucks Co. PA. George White m. Eunice Dungan on 12 Feb 1795 in Washington Co. VA. His 2nd or 3rd wife was Jane E. Lewis, d/o John Frances Penny Lewis and Nancy Davis. George may have been previously married before marrying Eunice. I can find no marriage record for George White to Jane E. Lewis--and they may have just lived together under some kind of arrangement. It is quite obvious from names of others in George's will that Jane E. Lewis, was indeed, Widow Jane in his will. I have copy book by Jack D. White, "A Line of Whites". This also indicates Joseph White Jr. was previously married to a Sarah.--before Sarah Headley/Hadley.
Note: I have not ordered the marriage for one Hannah Rogers or Hannah Borden to one Job Gastineau in 1812 Pulaski Co. KY. Some show Job marrying the widow of Elisha Dungan--and that she was buried in Gastineau-Hubble Cemetery. I don't think this was Hannah Borden Rogers. I think Hannah died in Smythe or Wythe Co. VA sometime after she and Elisha deeded land to John Robert Dungan, their son (1800). My conviction is that Hannah Borden Rogers would have been very, very elderly if she remarried in 1812. Several of the Borden lines went into Orange Co. VA.
Some Dungan lines may have become "Duncan".

Thanks for any info. If you have none, no need to reply.
