My gg grandfather, Henry Dunkley, was a stonemason in Stoke Newington, London, but stated on the census that he came from Birmingham, Warwickshire. He was born approx. 1817/18 and married Charlotte Elizabeth Chant at St. George's, Southwark, Surrey.

Also, in the British Vital Records Index, I discovered a family of Dunkleys, the parents being Thomas Dunkley and Mary nee Harding. The children were Mary Ann (1803), Sophia (1808) Sarah (1809), Harriett (1817), Henry (1818) and Emma (1820). These were taken from Dr. Williams Library for England and Wales which, apparently, recorded Non-Conformist Church records. As 'my' Henry and many of his family were buried at Abney Park Cemetery, London, which was also for non-conformists, it seems to me to be quite likely that this family could be mine, too.

I see that your Emma was christened in October 1820 whereas the above one was February so they can't be the same, but I thought I would add a posting anyway.
