The descendants of Joseph Randolph & Sallie Dismuke Dunkley of Halifax County, Virginia have their annual family reunion at Staunton River State Park, Scottsburg, Virginia on the second Sunday in July(this year July 8th). The children of Joseph & Sallie Dunkley are Anna D. Wilbourne, Moses Dudley Dunkley, "Mae" D.Allen, Charles Henry Dunkley, Joseph Archer Dunkley, John Daniel (Sing) Dunkley and Samuel Mason Dunkley. The reunion was held prior to World War II and held since then (1946) at the same place and same time, Staunton River State Park, picnic area #2 on the second Sunday in July.
