Linda -
All I have on John Dunlavy is the following:
John Dunlavy
Born March 27, 1769
Believed July 24 or 29, 1805 (gave up his worldly possessions for the Shaker church of Pleasant Hill, Mercer County, KY)
Died Sept 16, 1826 (location of death *appears* to be Pleasant Hill, Mercer, KY)
Nativity Frederic co, Va

This comes solely from the Shaker records of Pleasant Hill, KY. There was also a Shaker village of South Union, KY. You will want to contact the curator at Pleasant Hill to get ALL the Dunlavy information from that community. She has compiled facts taken from all the Shaker journals for each of the families that lived there. If she has nothing on Daniel she may have ideas of what village he joined. She should also be able to tell you about Dunlavy's Manifesto. The Pleasant Hill phone number is 1-800-734-5611. Good luck.
