I'm searching my GG Grandmother, Sarah Dunlavy, b. abt. 1800 in Co. Mayo who appears on the 1851 UK Census for Minster Yard w/Bedern, York, England with her daughter, Bridget Dunlavy who was born about 1831 in Co. Mayo. Bridget married James Muldowney (b. Co. Mayo) at St. Wilfrid's in York, England and the record shows Bridget Dunlavy's parents as John Dunlavy & Sarah ?.

Sarah & Bridget Dunlavy are living very close to a lot of Dunleavys from Dromor West, Co. Sligo and many of these Dunleavys emigrated to Mt. Carmel, Pa. in the coal regions. Bridget Dunlavy Muldowney also emigrate to Mt. Carmel.

Since the Dunleavys are from Sligo but my Bridget Dunlavy is from Co. Mayo and yet they ended up in the same town in Pa., I believe they were related but do not know how.

Do you know any more about your Anthony Dunlavy b. 1831 in Co. Mayo? Where he was born there? Who were his parents? I don't know how close/far Pontefract, York, England is from Minster Yard w/Bedern, York, England.

Any help is appreciated.
