My great grandmother was a Mary Dunlevy(Sometimes spelled Dunlavy in records). According to my research she was born May 1, 1842 to Patrick Dunlevy and a Mary Geraghty in County Mayo Ireland. Story told is her parents died and she and her sister Margaret immigrated to the US about 1860 because her uncles were afraid if they remained in Ireland they would be raised in the religion of the king.
Her father was a teacher and the uncle who was a dean in the Church advised her to go to the U.S. She married a Charles Dorian from County Donegal in Parkersburg, WV, USA. Eventually they moved to MO where she died in 1917. Can anyone verify any of this?
