Ebenezer Douglas Dunlop was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland on May 6, 1816. He married Ellen Willock in Kilmarnock on April 24, 1837. Both Ebenezer and Ellen left Scotland on board the "City of Edinburgh" bound for New South Wales, Australia arriving on August 31, 1837.
Three known children were born to Ebenezer and Ellen in NSW but Ellen died (possibly of childbirth) before 1858. Ebenezer went on to marry Catherine Sheehan at Molonglo, District of Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia on October 09, 1858.
Ebenezer died of Strychnine poisoning at Kitty's Creek (Yass, NSW) on 26 December 1880.
Ebenezer had at least 4 siblings:
Charles born February 10, 1818 Kilmarnock
William born January 27, 1821 Kilmarnock
Anne born August 29, 1822 Kilmarnock
Robert born February 14, 1825 Kilmarnock.
They were the children of John Dunlop and Marion Douglas.
If anyone has any ties to these families, I would love to hear from you.
Best wishes,
Judy D.
