Dunlop Family Genealogy Forum

The following information comes from my father's files on family history that I am currently trying to organize.
Rowland Dunlop and family arrived in Montreal in 1843. One son died during the transit. John was 16 and eventually made his way to the Milton area, then to the Owen Sound area and eventually to the Coldwater area. He died in an accident in Coldwater. I do not have much on Rowland Dunlop although he was a Irish-Scot Presbyterian from County Tyrone. His first wife was Mary Little and his second wife was Sara Johnston. Mary's children were Mary (1825) John (1829) Sally and James(orJoseph). Children of Sara were Margaret, William and Elyoc. John's sister Mary married a man named John Dunlop (apparently no relation) in Dickinsons Landing in 1843 and I am a direct descendent of this line. I have a lot of information on this line of people. One of her sons went to work at the mill in Coldwater for his uncle John in 1869. Unfortunately making the leap back to Ireland is extremely difficult. I have some clues but so far I have had little success however I will keep at it.)
