Hi, I am descended from Andrew Currie and Margaret Dunlop. I have noticed a few entries in Rootsweb which also show Margaret's parents as Charles Dunlop and Margaret Todd - but with no sources to verify this.
I am working on another possibility. Alexander Dunlop and Isabel Picken who married in 1753 and had a daughter Margaret in 1767 in Stewarton.
Andrew Currie and Margaret Dunlop had a son Alexander(my other ancestor), they also had a daughter Marion and Isabel Picken's possible parentage is Andrew Picken and Marion Wylie. With this Picken/Wylie parentage you can see the use of their names in the children, whereas you don't come across Charles in Andrew and Margaret's family.
I welcome your thoughts.
Or better still, any verification you have of the Dunlop/Todd link.

Karon
