The information I have regarding Jacob Dunnam and Samuel Blackwell is included in the following: Jacob Dunnam b.about 1786 in SC married Elizabeth Blackwell. Their daughter married a Mr. Bailey and left descendents in SC. Their son, Thomas Blackwell Dunnam b.1783 married Mary Anderson, nee Bell, and they had a son, Samuel Blackwell Dunnam. T.B. Dunnam's 3rd marriage was to Frances McCrea by whom 4 sons were born -- Thomas Wilburn Farce Dunnam, Charles Fletcher Dunnam and Francis Joseph Dumman (my great great grandfather) and Jacob Washington Dunnam. Samuel Blackwell Dunnam married Sarah Amanda McCrea in 1824 and their children were A.J.C. Dunnam, M.A. Dunnam and Sidney H. Dunnam who fell at the Battel of Mansfield, LA in the Civil War. Jacob Dunnam left a daughter, Ida Adams of Lovelady, TX. All of these families are in TX, with the exception of Francis J. Dunnam who resided in LA (probably in Boyce). The family of Thomas B. Dunnam was born in Darlington District, SC except the eldest son who was born in Georgetown.
This family history was related to L. S. Rugg, husband of Sadie Dunnam, on September 22, 1928.
