Dunnigan in Glasgow, Clydebank, Scotland

I am trying to find more info about the following people Hugh Crossan (my gg
grandfather) born ca1861 to Hugh and Margaret, married Calton, Glasgow 1882 to
Elizabeth Bell, died 1905 in Clydebank. The problem I have with him is his
mother's name- on his death certificate her MS is Dunnigan, but i can't find a
birth for him on scots origins or the IGI on LDS site. I did find a John born in
1858 to Hugh Crossan and Mgt. Dunnigan, so I'm pretty sure her MS IS Dunnigan,
however I found a Hugh born in 1861 in Calton (right area), to Hugh Crossan and
Margaret DOWNIE (I have the extract from Scots origins). Hugh the father is
listed as cotton weaver (which also matches other info I have) so circumstantial
evidence seems to point to this being my Hugh (the son). Perhaps someone out
there has this Crossan/Downie match in their tree and that will confirm the Downie
is not just a mistake by the person who took down the info (Dunnigan to Downie??).

Any help at all would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Matthew Graham

James and Beattie (from Ireland to O. K.)

PS- Sorry for the long and possibly confusing message- just trying to be as
complete as possible.
