John Dunnegan... Greene County, Illinois... Maybe from Georgia...

Hello... I am looking for information on John Dunnegan/Dunnigan/etc.

He was married in 1848 in Greene County, Illinois to Cordelia Howard Shipman.

According to the 1850 he was born in Illinois around 1821. John and Cordelia had three children:
1. John Andrew Dunnegan, b. 27 Jun 1850 and died Jan 1930
2. Eliza J. Dunnegan, b. 1853 m. 1874 and d. 1940... She married John Camerer in Greene County and later moved and settled in Audrain County, Missouri
3. Joseph Dunnegan, born about 1855... I only have Joseph in the 1880 census of Greene County and 1920 census of Walla Walla County, Washington.

All the children were born in Greene County, Illinois.

In some of the children's censuses, they state their dad was born in Georgia and some in Illinois.

John died in Jul 1856 in Greene County, IL so I have no censuses to look at as to where his parents were born.

I would say that if he wasn't born in GA, maybe his father was... Georgia had to fit in there somewhere...

Thanks for any help!
