Mark, thanks for your help on this, it's much more than I expected. Good to know that someone is as crazed about this as we are.

Now, my wife has traced the descendants of Antoine Pitre and Angelique Duplessis. It is a work in progress and I believe there are some minor corrections that need to be made. That being said, the URL is
http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/h/a/w/Mary-C-Hawkins/GENE1-0001.html
Check back with this as we will be updating it shortly.

As to the ancestors of Antoine Pitre (and all the other Pitre's in the US and Canada) check out the following addy...
http://www.m3consortium.co.uk/genealogy/pitre/
You will find Antoine as a child of Alexis Pitre...go through the Jean - Francois line.

Now...Joseph Pitre and Magdeline (Madeline) Duplessis we have little info on exactly who he is, we know he's not a brother of Antoine and is likely a cousin or uncle. We are documenting all of the Pitre children in Belledune, NB (where these three couples ended up...Antoine/Angelique, Joseph/Madeline and James Guitard/Mary Duplessis). We will be updating our Pitre page once we have made all the connections.

If you have any questions about any of this feel free to e-mail me at collette_hawkins@hotmail.com
