I believe that Pierre dit Duplessis ROBREAU, born 1676 in Poitou, France and who later immigrated to the Montreal area of Canada, is the direct ancestor of one of the DUPLESSIS lines in Ascension Parish Louisiana. Through the Catholic Church Records, I have followed this line of DUPLESSIS up to Pierre dit Duplessis ROBRO, native of Canada and son of Pierre dit Duplessis ROBRO and Marie Louise VELER. I strongly believe based on these facts that this particular Ascension Parish DUPLESSIS family connects to Pierre dit Duplessis ROBREAU (Born 1676) but I have no direct connections through his known children.

Through Internet searches, I have found the following references to the children of Pierre dit Duplessis ROBREAU:
