Hello Juanita Creach - in answer to your question: as best as I can understand it: the parents of Thomas Durack (father of Fanny) are Patrick Durack and Mary Delaney. I do not know how or if they are related to either the Goulburn Duracks or the Duracks of Bathurst (i.e. Lawrence Durack's family). It is true that Darby Durack and Margaret Kilfoyle Durack had a son, Thomas Durack; but this is NOT the father of Fanny; Darby and Margaret's son, Thomas, born in 1857 died at sea (Lat13.25s;Long125.35E)on 30th April 1902 on board the SS Tangier(Age: 45)ý - Reference in diary of MP Durack. Fanny's father, Thomas, was b.1842 Co Clare; married 18 Aug 1880 in NSW to Mary Mason (b.1859 Co Clare); again as I understand it, as well as their children Fanny Durack & Frank Clement(d.9Nov1961), they had two more sons and two more daughters. MP Durack referred to this Thomas Durack of the Newmarket Hotel as "cousin", but his diary notes record him wondering as to how they are related other than through a shared surname. Can you let me know if you discover more. Is there a reason for your interest? Are you related? Cheers. Tom
