Durack Origins

The name is found mostly in the eastern part of County Clare and North Tipperary. From the Irish O'Dubhraic. It is generally spelled Durack in Ireland and Australia and Durick in America. Looking at Griffiths Valuation for County Clare from the 1850s (on line) you can see it was a rare name even in its area of origin. Regards,Peter Patten,Vermont (not a Durack but knew a lot of them in Vermont)
