1. You may find the following of interest:-

Connaught Journal – Galway 7April1827: trial at Galway Asizes states that Patrick Durack Senior, James Brogan and others were sentenced to be executed for burglary and wounding with robbery on the house of Philip Reed. Upon hearing the sentence, the prisoners set up a great wailing and his Lordship ý(the Judge)ý was moved to tears. The sentence must have been commuted, because Durack and Brogan were transported to Australia on the Marquis of Huntley, arriving at Sydney on 30 January 1828” – reference p.220 of “Heartbrak Corner” by Fleur Lehane ý(nee Tully)ý.• Tried: 4 / 12 April 1827 PWR
