From the Hamilton Spectator - Thursday, February 5, 2004:

CROOK (Parks), Ruth - Peacefully, on Wednesday, February 4, 2004, in her 87th year. Predeceased by her first husband Roland Parks (World War Two, 1944). Predeceased by Stanley Crook (1984). Cherished mother of Patricia and her husband Paul Latham of Stoney Creek. Loving grandmother of Patty and Michael Fuller. Survived by four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother and four sisters. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Survived by brothers-in-law Gurning and his wife Pam Parks, Henry Parks, and sister-in-law Alice Stoneman. The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Ambis and his staff for their genuine care and compassion, also the staff at Hamilton General Hospital on 6 South. The family will receive friends at the L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (905-544-1147, www.lgwallace.ca), on Friday, February 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Chapel Service will take place on Saturday, February 7th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Donations to Operation Santa Claus (Jimmy Lomax Fund) would be appreciated by the family.
