This is very interesting -- the DANIEL connection to a DURDEN in Morgan County, GA.
FYI, my grandparents lived right accross the road from John DURDIN, for whom Durdin's District, Morgan County, GA was named. They actually lived in Reese Community, Morgan County, GA.
My grandparents were -- John C. RICHTER, Sr. (1848-1907) and Alice Elizabeth DANIEL (1854-1924). Alice was the d/o of Robert W. DANIEL, Esq. (1809-1865) and Mary Jane RENEAU (1830-1912), his 4th wife of Bethany, now Wadley, Jefferson County, GA.
I also know that Alice inherited the land she and John lived on in the 19th Land District, Land lot 74, of Morgan County, Ga. Alice also bought in her own name, lots of other land in Morgan County, Ga. I do not yet know how Alice got a hold of this land and from whom.
I also know the other names, other than Prudence DANIEL, that you list in your post, especially the FOSTERS because they were close to the RICHTERS in Madison, both first families of Madison.
I would like to know the connection between this Prudence DANIEL and your DURDENS if you know. Also, did any of your DURDEN bunch end up down in the Emanuel, Jefferson and Washington County, GA area.
Any other information is appreciated.
