Was your John W. Durden's middle name "Walton", and was he married to Lourle Floyd? If so, I do have some family history information about him, but nothing regarding his murder. John Walton Durden was b: 1891 and d: 1925 and is burried at New Hope PBC Cem. with his parents and other family members.
